Did some more ballasting and decided to put some 'scenery tufts' in to get the look that i wanted and it definitely made a huge different to the visual appeal of the track. As well as ballasting i have installed various feeder wires and have begun putting in a bus wire below the baseboard (still need suitcase connectors - unless someone knows an easy way to remove the insulation from the bus wire so i can solder it - feel free to comment!) Otherwise, some great progress this past week - i am hoping to install at least 1 more tortoise machine these coming weeks and perhaps another ground signal or two and of course continue with wiring and some basic scenery!

Just put in my first tortoise machine and ground signal to indicate safe entry, i'm not following any rules except my own with this. I've also began ballasting and will soon put in a second toroise - photos to come :)

This photo shows my 930 class - 935 haling some freight wagons on the newly painted (rusted) track
Here's a shot of two of my Orient Express Reproductions carriages being towed by 935, the rusted track makes a huge difference to the look of this photo.

Track Plan

The track plan is pretty much the same as this, however some subtle changes have been made.

Welcome

Hi! and welcome to my blog where i will share with you the adventures I have in modelling. My model railroad is a station situated somewhere between Adelaide and Melbourne and it uses the track plan for the Quorn rail yard. I'm not much of a skilled modeler so no rivet counters please - however any helpful advice is much appreciated. I hope you enjoy rambling through my blog and perhaps find some inspiration.
cheers,
